I am getting an MBA in marketing and finance and I have a degree in Biology. Need advice?

I am trying to get out of the science industry and focus on a job that will work concurrently with me going for an MBA. But, I am having trouble getting my foot in the door since the only experience I have is in the biotech world and I worked as a bartender for a few years. Does anyone know what companies in or near Irvine, CA that could be willing to give me a chance knowing that at my last job I was mainly a lab rat and that I don’t have specific business (non-scientific) related experperience? I feel that if given the chance I could really be a strong asset to any company. Again, I do not want to work in a lab anymore.

My husband had his PhD. in molecular biology and went back to school for an MBA in finance. You should be fine once you get the degree . . . Don’t expect to get paid well the first few years . . . but he did find work once he received his MBA. I live in the NE so I don’t know about jobs – try a head hunter.
