hi all,
please can anybody advise me as i have a car on finance on which i pay, i have done a hpi check on my car and it says no outstanding owing, i have had the car for a year and half now and updated hpi check and still says the same,
my question is do i have the right to sell it?
if so how would i go about this and can i get into any trouble in doing so?
i look forward to hearing from people who can help.
many thanks
i got the car from a dealer and he put through the finance for me, all i had to do was pay a deposit and sign the paperwork.

It depends, did you arrange the loan for the car through the dealer or did you get the finance for the car independantly of the garage who sold it to you? If you bought the car using a loan from a bank/building society, the car has no finance on it. you are still liable for the loan…
